Certified Coffee Specialist Designation
The purpose of the Certified Coffee Specialist (CCS) designation is to establish new and higher benchmarks for the National Automatic Merchandising Association’s Coffee Service program. It gives those professionals who are actively involved in providing coffee, water and beverage service the opportunity to take their skills and knowledge to the next level.
The CCS program will become the coffee service industry’s Mark of Distinction and each designee will be recognized as an industry leader.

- Sales people
- Sales managers
- Owners
- Route drivers with the potential to move into sales
- Customer service people with advancement potential
How do you qualify for the CCS designation?
- You have completed the original one-day QCCP course study
Or
- You have completed (in either order) both the Coffee Fundamentals and Brewing Fundamentals sessions – Brewing Fundamentals will be offered at the NAMA CoffeeShow 2010 on Wednesday, October 20 in Las Vegas.
- Plus meet other minimal qualifying requirements.

A fee is required to take the online exam. Once the application is submitted, and you are approved, you will be contacted to provide payment. You must be a NAMA member in good standing to complete the CCS exam. The exam is administered and graded by an outside company not directly affiliated with NAMA. A $250 fee is required to take the online exam. Once the application is submitted, and you are approved, you will be contacted to provide payment.
