State Councils Focus On Taxes

About State Councils
Most of NAMA's affiliated State Councils were established in the 1960s to defend the industry against unfair taxes on vending machines. Today, each State Council remains focused on promoting the common business interest and general welfare of the automatic merchandising industry and improving the industry’s service to the public.

Many affiliated State Councils retain professional lobbyists in their state capital to represent the industry. Through the efforts of State Councils, their lobbyists and NAMA Regional Representatives, members can jointly express their unified voice to local, state and federal officials with regard to legislation and regulation. "No one of us is as strong as all of us," according to an old saying.

Get Involved To Influence The Future Of Your Business!
To promote common business interests, advance the public interest, and to address all issues affecting the industry, we encourage you to get involved. Join NAMA and your State Council. Attend meetings regularly. Volunteer for service on a council committee or board. Give the Council the benefit of your experience and express your opinion. You'll find the experience stimulating and rewarding.

To learn more about the State Council that is located in your area, call the NAMA Regional Office listed in the map shown above.
