What is NAMA/PAC?

The National Automatic Merchandising Association Political Action Committee was created by action of the NAMA Board of Directors 1989 as away to support the legislative goals of NAMA and the vending industry in the United States. It is a separate fund maintained apart from NAMA dues or contributions. NAMA/PAC is organized under the Federal Election Campaign Act and registered with the Federal Election Commission in Washington, D.C.

Who administers NAMA/PAC?

NAMA/PAC is administered by staff members of the association and a five member Board of Trustees. The Executive Committee of the association automatically serves as NAMA/PAC Trustees.

Which candidates does NAMA/PAC support?

NAMA/PAC supports candidates based on issues important to the vending industry. NAMA/PAC is not affiliated with any political party and supports candidates on a bipartisan basis. NAMA/PAC only contributes to candidates for federal office.

Legal Requirements

By law NAMA/PAC cannot receive from any one donor nor contribute to more than one candidate more than $5,000 per election.

NAMA/PAC can solicit personal contributions from authorized individuals anytime during the year up to a $5,000 limit. Authorized individuals include (with prior approval by the company) the executive and administrative personnel of NAMA incorporated member companies. Federal law prohibits soliciting contributions from outside of this "restricted class." NAMA/PAC closely monitors any contributions to prevent the receipt of improper contributions.
