The Quality Coffee Certificate Program is entering its 12th year of educating operators about coffee, water and the important role both play in serving a quality coffee beverage. Over 1,000 individuals have completed the 2-day fee based course and recognize the difference it has made in their business. Two interactive workshops offer everyone a meaningful learning experience prior to the NAMA OneShow.

Coffee Fundamentals - NAMA 2012 OneShow

  • You will learn the rich history of coffee.
  • You will learn about the development of coffee flavor qualities from the country of origin.
  • You will gain valuable insights into coffee processing, sorting, grading, blending and roasting.
  • You will experience origin and blended coffees through a series of guided tasting exercises.
  • You will gain a fundamental but extensive understanding of coffee production and manufacturing.

Brewing Fundamentals - NAMA 2012 OneShow
April 25, 2012

  • You will be introduced to the basic theory and principles involved in the preparation of filtered coffee.
  • These principals will be illustrated and explained through a series of guided tasting experiences and the presentation of facts.
  • You experience and taste how the slightest change the brewing formula can alter the taste profile.

Quality Coffee Certification Program - NAMA
Certified Coffee Specialist ~ CCS

After the completion of both QCCP workshops you are eligible to apply for the designation of Certified Coffee Specialist (CCS). CCS is the next level of your continuing education and a recognized Mark of Distinction in the coffee industry.
